Calendar for the International Moscow BankRight after the Moscow Fashion Week, Karin&Gorelik and Pro-Obraz Studio were offered to make a 2007 calendar for the International Moscow Bank featuring the Bank’s employees. After the screening of applications and two-stage casting, the employees eligible for the shooting for the image calendar were selected. The Bank’s employees from Moscow offices and other cities (Belgorod, Perm, St. Petersburg, Volgograd, Chelyabinsk, Saratov, Arkhangelsk and Novosibirsk) took part in the project. The total number of participants was 14. Photos for the calendar were made in the black and white fantasy fashion style. There were no evident parallels with the collection entitled «Hamlet. The Lost Certainty», which was demonstrated in the Gostinnyi Dvor as a part of the Moscow Fashion Week. The plots were rather an attempt to create a world of uncommon women and men, ancient castles and magic items. The calendar pages resemble of phototectures from the collection and seem to efface the primary borders. The calendar plots are transformed into drawings on the clothes. There are evident quotes from Shakespeare’s sayings. They make the images complete rather than commenting on them. Having a little idea of what the final picture would look like, the employees behaved surprisingly informally and cheerfully during the session. All of the people engaged in the project took the rough with the smooth during the photo session: they withstood such hardships as cold, wind, flashes, rigid seats, uncomfortable poses, ban on blinking their eyes and drinking coffee, and the need to wait, smile or cry on a signal without unnecessary affectation. This is a beautiful project, and everyone will be able to see the results of the team’s painstaking efforts by December 15. The calendar is a limited edition. It will be displayed at the Master Exhibition in the Mars Gallery on December 12 and in the Gostinnyi Dvor in March. You can even get a poster from the calendar. | |||||||
