Numerous belts and straight outlines featured in the new collection eliminate the distinction between men’s and women’s clothes. The designer’s laminated patterns made of silk and jersey, glittering brocade and strict black and white fabrics add royal splendor to the garments.
There are no illustrations for songs in the photo prints: all of the images are associative, citations are understandable, and a refrain of Freddie Mercury’s English lyrics is rhythmically arranged in the clothes. Five key Queen albums were adapted thus forming five basic trends in the solution for the Spring/Summer 2009 collection from Lena Karin.
